About José del Solar Álvarez-Calderón
José del Solar Álvarez-Calderón is a 58-year-old Peruvian football manager. He belongs to the experienced generation of European managers, a period defined by the tactical evolution of the modern game. He currently manages César Vallejo, where he is responsible for tactical decisions, match preparation and dressing-room management. Earlier in his career he also managed Peru U23, gaining experience across different competitive contexts. He is regarded as one of the most influential modern coaches to have come from Peru.
