He currently manages Boston River, where he is responsible for tactical decisions, match preparation and dressing-room management. Earlier in his career he also managed River Plate y Defensor Sporting, gaining experience across different competitive contexts. He is regarded as one of the most influential modern coaches to have come from Uruguay.
