About Hirokazu Sakuma
Hirokazu Sakuma is a 62-year-old Japanese football manager. He belongs to the experienced generation of European managers, a period defined by the tactical evolution of the modern game. He currently manages Niigata University, where he is responsible for tactical decisions, match preparation and dressing-room management. Earlier in his career he also managed Niigata Univ. of Health & Welfare FC, gaining experience across different competitive contexts. He is regarded as one of the most influential modern coaches to have come from Japan.
