Gareth McAuley is a 46-year-old football manager from Northern Ireland. He belongs to a new wave of modern coaches, a period defined by the tactical evolution of the modern game. He currently manages Northern Ireland U18, where he is responsible for tactical decisions, match preparation and dressing-room management. Earlier in his career he also managed Northern Ireland U19, gaining experience across different competitive contexts. He is regarded as one of the most influential modern coaches to have come from Northern Ireland.
